Kyunghee Kim is a public educator turned writer. She is the author of a children's book, See Us Bloom, and writes for both children and adults. Often drawing from her own experiences, Kyunghee writes about belonging, community, grief, hope, and the everyday life. When she is not working on her books, you can find Kyunghee on a hike somewhere, indulging in Korean food, or enjoying being a homebody and equally traveling.

Kyunghee works as a School Success Coach and Writing Facilitator to help individuals navigate challenging times using strength based approaches and mindfulness tools through one-on-one coaching and group workshops.

  • Describe your creative space and routine?

    I write in my dining room where the morning light comes in. A candle and a mug of hot tea is a must. I lit a candle to begin and blow it out at the end of my writing session.

  • What is your favorite creative fuel?

    hot tea, usually matcha latte or ginger tea.
